There are zombies everywhere. What do you do? Do you…

A) Run like hell
B) Shoot yourself hoping you won't join the ranks of the dead
C) Gather supplies, weapons, and ammo; going from safe room to safe room along with a group of people looking for a rescue.

If you chose C then "Left 4 Dead" is just the game for you. Left 4 Dead is a post-apocalyptic game about zombies roaming every city. You get to play as 4 unlikely survivors and try to get out the city as soon as possible. There are four playable campaigns with five levels each. At the end of each fifth level, you must summon a rescue using a radio. The rescuer tells you to wait while they get ready, or until they get there. During that time, zombies, common and uncommon infected, run toward you for your flesh. You must fight off these hordes until the rescue comes. There are five types of uncommon infected. The only uncommon infected that doesn't come towards you at the finale is the Witch. Truth to be told, defending yourself from zombies is just the campaign. In the "Versus" mode, you get to act as all of the uncommon infected except as the Witch. Your job is to kill the survivors or just try to stop them from being rescued. You just have to end their game.

This game gives you a challenge every time you play it no matter the difficulty. The uncommon infected spawn in a different place every time; in other words they appear in different places every time you play. The controls for L4D are easy to understand and control. It is also pretty easy to maneuver the weapons thanks to well located crosshairs. The gore shown when killing the infected is adequate. There is not too much or too little blood. It is just perfect. The game also provides with a variety of weapons, such as the assault rifle and riot gun. The miscellaneous explosives (pipe bombs and molotovs) provide the player with a difficult decision which gives more of a challenge. The other characters will be able to help you if you are being attacked by a Hunter, Smoker, or a Witch.

L4D is less fun when you are playing it alone. The other characters will not be able grab molotovs or pipe bombs. Friendly fire is something to be considered in this game. As you are trying to shoot, the other survivors will stand in your way and will get shot. Sometimes a careless survivor will "accidentally" disturb a Witch. When they do disturb her, you will have to go help them. Many L4D fans actually wish for more campaign maps.

The game L4D can be bought new at the price of $19.99. Pre-owned, the price would be $17.99 at "GameStop". It can be bought at any game store or super store. This game is available for your PC or the Xbox 360. The DLCs cost extra and the prices may vary.  The game's rating varies from an 8 of 10 to 9.5 out of 10. L4D's is a M-rated game meaning that it is only for 17 and older. The experience of this game will also vary for all gamers.
Ok..so..umm for lang. arts 8th grade, I had to write a review for any item. I chose Left 4 Dead because it was the first Xbox game I ever owned and because it is my favorite. My teacher actually said that I was allowed to write a review for an M-rated game as long as I was allowed to play.
