Are vampires real? That is a question that is often asked when studying demons. There have been cases of vampirism in the past including 1456, Vlad Dracula Tepes; 1575, Countess Elizabeth Bathory and the most recent case, 1949, George John Haigh. They thought themselves as part of the nosferatu, and vrykolakas. This type of stuff wasn't in people's minds until something came out in 2005. It was a book series by Stephanie Meyer called the Twilight Saga. It is about young human girl who falls in love with a hot vampire boy. This plot line is so cliché. That would be one reason why Twilight shouldn't be as popular as it is. Its popularity should go down because it doesn't go according to vampire legends, it may be a bad influence on the teens of today, and the plot of the story is the same as other vampire romances.
Twilight fans would have argued about Twilight's popularity. Their counter-arguments were obvious. Twilight is popular because of the forbidden love. The series is too "interesting" to put down. The counter-argument I heard the most was "Edward and Jacob are hot". I have my opinions while they have theirs.
The mythologies used in this series are not actual vampire beliefs. Vampires do not shine in the sunlight. The vampyre are allowed to go out in the sunlight, but they pretty much prefer the night. In old legends, it is said that vampires can control the lycanthrope but the lycans are able to kill vampires. This meaning that Edward could have taken control of Jacob and Jacob could have killed Edward. In the series, it is said that vampires do not sleep. This statement is false. Vampires do sleep, but only where there is soil of their native land. Also, vampires do not always have to be pretty boys. Watch the old black and white vampire films. Most of the mythologies in this series are made-up.
Twilight may also be a bad influence on the teens of this generation. When Edward breaks up with Bella, she goes suicidal. Back when they were together, Edward actually stalked Bella. Edward also watched her as she slept. That would be a bit too creepy for any girl or would it? I think this is a bad influence because there are girls that do want to become Bella.
Did you notice that most of the vampire romances have the same plot twist? A human girl falls in love with a hot vampire guy. This is the same for Vampire Knight and Vampire Kisses. The series by Matsuri Hino called Vampire Knight is about a young girl named Yuki Cross who is in love with a vampire. Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber is about a goth girl, Raven Madison, who falls in love with Alexander Sterling, the new guy from Romania. He also happens to be a vampire. Mostly all vampire romance have the same plot twist. The girls eventually live together with their vampire boyfriends.
My point is Twilight should not be as popular as it is. It goes against the vampire mythologies. This saga may be a bad influence on young adults. Its plot twist is cliché and similar to other vampire romances. People should boycott 'till the Twilight fans are miserable enough to realize the truth. I hope I have proven my point.

My dearest Stephanie Meyer,
I know upon receiving this letter your first reaction will be to disregard it as some kind of joke. I assure you, however, the return address you see scrawled on the back of this envelope is very real, and so am I
for quite some time, actually, despite what your history books may say.
But I digress; my existence is hardly the matter I wish to discuss with you. Does the name "Twilight" ring a bell? I should hope so. For that is the topic of the following letter.
I must admit, when I first heard about this series, I felt only a mild twinge of irri

Twilight series Breaking Dawn
Breaking Dawn a.k.a. Epic Fail a rant on the Book 4 of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight 'Saga'
A while ago I managed to find a copy of Stephenie Meyer's Breaking Dawn(BD) in the public library. Since there was no third book of the series, Eclipse in sight; I had to make do and borrow Breaking Dawn first even though I still haven't read the third book.
Frankly, I had only watched the Twilight movie last year, then recently I had read New Moon from beginning to the end, and now I'm reading Breaking Dawn, the order of it doesn't sound quite right since I jump the third book, still I had read a few reviews on Eclipse so I'm confident tha

Okay so I submitted this in paragraphs before. I just don't like it that you have to keep coming back to my profile to read the whole thing so I decided to submit the whole thing. It was for my language arts class in 7th grade.

I totally agree. There's this chick in my class that seriously asked me if I sparkled in the sunlight (she was a cheerleader, surprise surprise). I heard another talking to her friends about how she was going to try and kill herself that night becase her bf (who is my most awesome bro) broke up with her. Yes I called suicide hotline! And my ex gf Alice (srsly) was a Twihard. When I broke up with her she got all mopey and emo. Every time I pass her in the hallway she pretends to be in trouble. I just shrug and say: "You've got two arms, doncha?" I hope she hates me. -_-
